This book takes cyber-security off the 'too difficult' pile by making it understandable.
I love this book. Whether you know nothing or know a lot about the subject, the book sets out everything anybody needs to know about cyber-security in lay terms. Key issues and the jargon are all explained. The case studies reveal how easy it can be to be caught out regardless of who you are and what field you work in, complemented by the necessary steps individuals and firms can take to improve our individual and collective protection.
This book should be mandatory reading for all boards, partnerships and regulators. Individual owners of any intelligent device should read it - and that means all of us as the internet of things (yes, this is explained in the book) is already here. IT technical experts should read it, too, as it will help them explain risks and security in terms non-experts will understand and help conversations with decision-makers.

A 'Must Read' book

A 'must read' book. I recommend it as a very useful primer and reference text for everyone interested in (or affected by) today's cyber-conscious world and its numerous cyber threats to all IT users - and this surely means most of us! Written in a clear, easy-to-understand, non-technical style, with useful case studies and a very useful 'Cybersecurity to English Dictionary'. This book claims to be "A guide to the essentials of cybersecurity, cyber-terrorism and hacktivism. How can you guard against them? How do you make cybersecurity work?". I feel it meets these claims, and more. Try it for yourself, as soon as you can!

Great first cyber security book!

This seems to be a good high level overview of all the different issues to be considered as you begin to think about the problem of cyber security. It doesn't go into a great deal of depth in any particular area, but it really is a good starting place to see how your particular assigned area of cyber security fits into the overall organizational picture.
