About the Author
Alison Siewert is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, and also attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She currently serves as an arts pastor and church planter in the Hershey, Pennsylvania area. She cowrote and edited Worship Team Handbook after leading worship at Urbana 93 and Urbana 96. She was director of the Urbana 03 Theater Team and is cofounder and director of ransomTHEdonKey, a theater group that performs in many settings, including campuses and churches. Previously, she has worked as a church planter, worship designer and InterVarsity staff trainer.
Andy Crouch (MDiv, Boston University School of Theology) is executive editor of Christianity Today and the author of books such as Culture Making and Playing God. Andy serves on the governing boards of Fuller Theological Seminary and Equitas Group, a philanthropic organization focused on ending child exploitation in Haiti and Southeast Asia. He is also a senior fellow of the International Justice Mission’s IJM Institute. His writing has appeared in Time, The Wall Street Journal and several editions of Best Christian Writing and Best Spiritual Writing. Crouch served as executive producer for the documentary films Where Faith and Culture Meet and Round Trip, as well as the multi-year project This Is Our City, which featured documentary video, reporting and essays about Christians seeking the flourishing of their cities. He also sits on the editorial board for Books & Culture and was editor-in-chief of re:generation quarterly. He also spent ten years as a campus minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Harvard University. A classically trained musician who draws on pop, folk, rock, jazz and gospel, Crouch has led musical worship for congregations of five to twenty thousand. He lives with his family in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
Matt Frazier is a drummer, guitarist and songwriter, based in Washington. With his wife, Sundee, he served as a worship leader for Urbana 2000, InterVarsity's student missions convention.
Sundee Tucker Frazier is a full-time mother and children's writer. She worked for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for ten years, first on campus staff and then as the worship leader with her husband, Matt, for Urbana 2000, InterVarsity's student missions convention. She is the author of Check All That Apply (IVP, 2002) and Brendan Buckley's Universe and Everything in It (Delacorte Press/Random House, 2007).

Inspiring, practical, God-honoring!

Outstanding overview of what it takes not only to build a worship service for 1999, but how to build the team that builds the worship service. This book will give you the why's and how's of building a quality worship service, including the use of drama, multi-media, visual arts, sound, as well as music. It would be a fantastic resource to read through with your worship team, especially the Bible studies at the end. Excellent sections for vocalists and instrumentalists (guitarists, drummers, percussionists, bassists, etc.) who lead worship. Get it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! A must for anyone on a worship team whether leading or background! If you are even a minister or a member, this book will open you eyes to worship, why we do it, what it is and more!! I read it with my team twice and did open discussion and it helped us grow so much! Buy it!!
